How long have you been in business?
I've been developing websites since 1996. I have worked extensively with the Imagination Factory in Grand Rapids, Michigan as well as the OIC Group in Peoria, Illinois. I use a network of producers in various specialties around the United States and have worked with several producers in Europe and Africa as well.
What is your primary product or service?
My primary product these days is the ExponentCMS. Open Source and clever interface paradigms mean that non-technical users can easily update and maintain a website with few technical skills. I provide deep bench backup and creative resources as needed and believe that content trumps "cute and clever" on the Internet. Substance before style.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I've been a graphic artist since 1975 and an avid early user of computers and Internet software. It made a natural transition from traditional graphic arts to electronic tools and design.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
My costs are lower because of my distributed network business design and I work with many different types of clients. I have a very diverse business background so I understand how inscrutable the Internet can be. I view myself as a translator and agent for my clients.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Not interested in expansion nor in any more locations. One location worldwide is adequate for my needs in reaching clients who need and want my services.

I service all types of clients but believe in community involvement and electronic democracy so those are my favorite clients.

I own my company and I run my daily operations.
